Project Manager

Position Summary

The Project Manager is responsible for leading projects from initiation through completion, ensuring all deliverables are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. This role serves as the central point of coordination between customers, internal stakeholders, and overseas-based manufacturing teams, managing project execution, communication, timelines, and information flow while adhering to established company processes.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing and supply chain environment. Success in this role requires strong communication skills, analytical thinking, project management expertise, and the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution

• Manage projects from kickoff through completion, including timelines, milestones, deliverables, and dependencies.
• Coordinate New Product Introduction (NPI) activities from RFQ award through manufacturing readiness and production launch.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Identify project risks, monitor progress, and develop mitigation plans to support successful outcomes.
• Establish deadlines, assign responsibilities, and track progress across cross-functional teams.
• Prepare and present project status reports to customers, sales teams, account managers, and leadership.
• Maintain project documentation, drawings, and records within designated systems.

Customer & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Serve as the primary liaison between customers, internal departments, and overseas-based manufacturing partners.
• Review customer requirements, drawings, and documentation for completeness and accuracy.
• Request clarification and additional information when necessary to support project execution.
• Review information received from Asia teams prior to distribution to customers or management.
• Lead or participate in customer meetings, providing updates and documenting action items.
• Ensure compliance with internal workflows, project management standards, and company procedures.

Operations, Analytics & Continuous Improvement

• Develop and maintain project trackers, dashboards, and reporting tools.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives through data analysis, process mapping, and workflow optimization.
• Recommend and implement improvements related to project tracking, communication, and execution.
• Utilize spreadsheets, databases, and reporting tools to organize and analyze project data.
• Support automation and standardization of project reporting processes.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation within SharePoint and related systems.

Financial & Cost Analysis Support

• Review vendor quotations for completeness, accuracy, and consistency.
• Assist with project costing, supplier quotation analysis, and tooling investment reviews.
• Prepare internal costing worksheets and customer quotations for review and approval.
• Support financial analysis related to project profitability and cost management.

Additional Responsibilities

• Participate in special projects and cross-functional initiatives as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Fluency in written and spoken English/Mandarin.
• Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
• Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience in manufacturing, operations, supply chain, or related environments.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Bilingual in Mandarin and English.
• Experience working with international suppliers and overseas-based manufacturing teams.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems, preferably NetSuite.
• Knowledge of New Product Introduction (NPI) processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with project costing, financial analysis, and tooling investment evaluations.
• Ability to translate complex project information into clear, actionable insights.
